Grunt
The most common security staff at Harmony Corp venues. Grunts wear standard black uniforms and attack with basic punch-kick combos synchronized to the background music. They have low health and no special abilities, making them ideal targets for learning the timing of Perfect Hits and Takedown Tokens.
How to answer
Use standard combos to build your hit streak. Landing 4–5 Perfect Hits on a Grunt will stagger them, enabling a Takedown. Use groups of Grunts to fill your Fever Rush meter before a boss encounter.
Mosher
Moshers are the most dangerous common enemy in Dead as Disco. Built like a tank and driven by uncontrollable energy, they hurl their entire body at you in full-sprint charges. Their attack startup is deceptively fast, and their charge ignores Grunts in its path — you need to dodge sideways, never backward.
How to answer
A perfectly timed counter (parry) staggers the Mosher entirely, creating a free Takedown window. If you miss the counter window, dodge to the side. Never stand directly in front of a charging Mosher — the hitbox is wider than it looks.
Baton Security Guard
Baton Guards are trained security personnel armed with electrified batons that extend their range significantly. Their attack patterns are beat-synchronized and they hold a defensive stance between strikes. The baton's extended reach makes them surprisingly threatening in tight spaces.
How to answer
Watch for the baton to retract — that is your safe window to attack. Flashbag is very effective at interrupting their defensive stance. Do not attempt to trade hits; their baton deals bonus damage on Perfect Beat attacks.
Shield Security Guard
Shield Guards carry a full riot shield that blocks all frontal attacks entirely, making standard combos useless from the front. They advance slowly and occasionally bash with the shield edge, dealing knockback. In groups, they form a wall that can corner you against stage boundaries.
How to answer
Dodge to their side or behind them — their back has no defence. Alternatively, a fully-charged Strong Attack (hold heavy button) will break the shield block in one hit, stunning the guard briefly. Rush Down past their side is the fastest repositioning tool.
Fallen Doll
Fallen Dolls are Arora's personal creations — uncanny, doll-like constructs that emerge from the water in Arora's stage. They move with jerky, irregular rhythm, making their attack timing harder to read than standard enemies. Their porcelain exterior means they shatter after a Takedown, dealing AoE damage to nearby enemies.
How to answer
When multiple Fallen Dolls appear, prioritize the ones emerging from deep water — they have less health due to partial submersion damage. Their shatter AoE on Takedown can chain-kill Grunts standing nearby, making them great combo extenders.
Stardoll Sniper
Stardoll Snipers are ranged attackers positioned at the edges of arenas, firing rhythmically-timed energy shots that deal heavy damage if not dodged. Their shots travel at medium speed and always fire on the downbeat. They cannot be directly targeted while behind cover and will reposition if approached.
How to answer
Watch for the red targeting beam — it appears one full beat before the shot fires. Dodge on the downbeat. Once targeted, Rush Down past any obstacle to reach them; they have very low health and deal no melee damage. Eliminating Snipers early prevents compounding pressure during group fights.
Mixed-wave instincts
Mosher + riff raff
Flashbag splits stacks — peel Mosher first or eat wider charges mid-combo.
Shield walls
Rush Down behind line or charged breaks — frontal spam stalls your rank.
Sniper seasoning
Mark beams before melee — ranged shots love punishing greedy juggles.
Doll popcorn
Position clumps — shatter explosions convert dolls into crowd control.
